I know you are off to the Apple world but just a quick question. I am not using provisioning yet and want to make a XenApp template to populate severs on our production farm. I read a Citrix best practices guide for the validation step to create the template on at test farm. Is this necessary? Meaning can I build out my server, configure for production farm, run XenAppPrep and sysprep, and create template? Or is there a possibility of totally bombing my prod farm database?

Also, is XenAppPrep removing the server from the farm? or would a template created still be part of the farm that was configured in the "gold" version?

Thanks,
